"The New Year NE Mountain Race" is one of the representative long-distance trail running races in Hong Kong. It has been held annually on January 1st in the northeast New Territories of Hong Kong since 2005, with a history of nearly 20 years. One of the unique features of this event is that the organizers plan different race routes every year.

In the coming year, the New Year NE Mountain Race 2024, organized by Wildtrek, will bring participants a brand new racing experience. The event offers two routes: the Elite Group and the Challenge Group. The Elite Group involves a total ascent of 1800 meters and participants must complete a 35-kilometer course within 9 hours. The Challenge Group, on the other hand, features a total ascent of 1400 meters and participants have 8 hours to complete a 26-kilometer course. Both routes are equally challenging. Additionally, this race includes a special category for mixed-gender two-person teams. Mountain enthusiasts who enjoy participating in mixed-team competitions should not miss this opportunity.

「元旦東北縱走」是本港其中一個具代表性的越野長跑比賽，由2005年開始至今已有接近20年歷史，每年一月一日於本港新界東北部舉行。而大會每年規劃不同的比賽路線是本賽事一大特色。

來年「元旦東北縱走2024」由 Wildtrek 主辦，將為參賽者帶來全新的比賽體驗。賽事設有兩條路線，分別為精英組和挑戰組，精英組總攀升達1800米，須在9小時內完成35公里的賽程，而挑戰組則總攀升1400米，限時8小時內完成26公里的賽程，同樣也具有一定的挑戰性。此次比賽特別設置了男女混合二人組，喜歡參加混合隊際賽的山友們絕對不能錯過這次機會。
